A large contingent from the Pembrokeshire Referees Society was present recently at the Friar Vaults in Haverfordwest for a sponsorship evening.  Landlord Chris Jenkins made the whistlers welcome as he announced his sponsorship of the society for the season.

President Danny Thomas is pictured receiving a jacket from Chris Jenkins, accompanied by fellow officers Jonathan Twigg (secretary), Steve Evans (Vice- Chairman) and Chris Stapleton (assistant secretary).  In total twenty four members attended the evening, where speeches were made inside the Friar Vaults prior to the presentation of the jackets.

Secretary Jonathan Twigg spoke on behalf of the society in ‘thanking Chris Jenkins for the sponsorship.  A renowned follower and supporter of sport Chris saw this as an opportunity of supporting all levels of referees in the county, to which we are thankful.  On behalf of the officers and members of the society we hope Chris is part of the regular post match Saturday meetings discussing the afternoons games which will take place in the Friar Vaults in future.’
